Re: Crash Mode (Mistral)

Ouch. Did it pop up while you were driving? If not and you park on the street I might suggest someone might be bumping you in a tight-parking situation. But even that would have to be pretty extreme.
Tom.

Re: Crash Mode (tmtalpey)

yea both times whilst driving, but at relatively low speeds.
the 1st time, i was tuned, so thought it might also be due to tuning, hence didnt kick up too much of a fuss...
but since i sent car in for service, they reloaded a whole new can-bus suite, so car is back to stock.. and havent reloaded the programming yet.
so at least i know now its not a tuning software conflict..

Re: Crash Mode (Mistral)

Any chance the accelerometers might have a loose connection? The ones in front are easy to see, and somewhat easy to dislodge. I don't have any pictures but they are small black cubes with a single connector, screwed to the inner fender at the right and left of the radiator. On my car, there is a red marker stripe on their white part number labels, assembly indicators I assume. Just an idea. I'll look for a photo.
Tom.

Can't find photos showing them, but they are front left and right "impact sensors", and there are side ones too, in the B- and C-posts. The front ones are visible, the others will be a challenge.
Tom.
