Had the unfortunate experience of starting off for work this morning looking out of a cracked windshield. I know I caught a stone on one of Chicago's wonderful tollways (under construction) yesterday, but it spread to a crack by this morning.
Question, will an insurance company replace with the same glass or better through their window provider, or am I better off going to the dealer for an exact replacement?

Re: Cracked Windshield (DenzoR)

I have heard the OEM glass is very soft. Others have posted that premium domestic glass has been better. I am not sure of the brand(s)

Dealer replaced with original Volvo at the time.
