I’m have been very disappointed with VCNA of late. They use to be great and on top of things, now they don’t really care. They should have really taken the lead on this. No dealership should be allowed to get away with things like this
I haven’t involved VCNA yet. I wanted to reach out to them only if the dealer turns me down.

The dealer didn’t send the check yet. Apparently it needs to be signed by their corporate and it takes couple of weeks (or so I have been told).

Hopefully it doesn’t come to me reaching out to VCNA or BBB

Gotcha. A couple of weeks is a bit excessive, I guess they don’t see the urgency in your situation… And while it is not a safety issue, it is very frustrating to see your new vehicle in that state. This should have been a moment of joy for you and your family, however, it has been the opposite.

I called VCNA. They pretty much said it is between the dealer and me. They can create a courtesy ticket and forward it to the dealership, that’s the most they can do since dealerships are independently owned

I told them I bought it trusting the strict criteria they mentioned in the CPO brochure but apparently VCNA cannot control anything a dealer sells to me as certified

That really is crap.
I have had issues with FCA and Toyota, and Toyota was the worst. FCA actually responded when they said they would, Toyota ignored everything.

It looks like VNA is playing this like an ostrich.

Hopefully the follow up email will generate some feedback and a reconsideration. Also, I hope dealer comes through on the $1500! Let me know.

This is really disappointing. This is the same dealer that CPO’ed my former 2020 that had water intrusion. Sold it to some unknowing bloke in Florida. They recouped some of the sale by CPO’ing a problem car and selling it across the country. Now it’s another dealer’s problem and the sales department are running away to the bank cashing checks.

And people wonder why car sales has a bad rap.....

At least they support Special Needs Initiative and Bring your Kid to Work...Because whomever did that paint job was either blind or under the age of 10! Here's a spray can, have at it...

Ya this dealer is something else, and the fact Volvo is calling this a Dealer / Customer dispute is mind boggling.

Sadly I have noticed a trend with VCNA as it relates to issues with dealerships. We all know that dealerships are independently owned, however, Volvo should hold them to the standards; additionally when a dealership CPO a vehicle, the warranty is through Volvo, not the dealership. I think Volvo should care a lot about this; not only is it a blemish on the brand, It also strains the relationship with customers. Volvo should be furious that this was missed/covered up, and put policies in place to prevent its reoccurrence.

Take your pick. I am not familiar with the other color codes besides my own.

Thank you again for letting me know about the factory painted bumper parts. I was assuming body shops were the only option otherwise.

The bumper and spoiler were replaced last weekend, I added a tow hitch too at the same time (to save on labor cost)
