Re: couple of questions (phuz)

First off I dont know how you dad only put 16,000 miles on a 6 year old vehicle pretty amazing (the average is 75,000).
Trade in value would be: $12,525 if it was in excellent condition.
Private Party resale would be: $14,925 if it was in excellent condition.

Your 16 years old, I doubt you will like this car and there are no mods for it....sell it, buy a used s60. You will have more fun, I myself perfer the luxury and size of an s80 but if I had the chance/money I would be at the dealer buying an R.
anyways thats what I would do If you wish to have a safe, sporty, car which you could mod.

I have never met someone close to my age (ALL my friends are at your age Phuz and only one of them likes the 80 over a 60; and BTW 4 years in a few weeks lol) But if I had a choice I would get an R. The thing is this kid seems like he wants to do a lot of mods for the s80 and it cannot happen....he would have more fun modding an s60 due to its various tuners and available options.
If you do go for an s60, make sure its a T5

IPD still carries a lot of upgrades, and i used to like these cars a lot. this would just be for car racing. turbobricks.com is really into these cars so there is a lot of good enthusiast support. i would just love to have one with RWD big wheels, and a nice rake to it. with a gawd awfully loud paint job of course
have fun!
Sky
Re: (JRL)

Keep the S80, I had a 2000 T6 as my first car when I was 17, I bought another as my second as well. I LOVE Volvos ...hang onto the S80 esp. with 16Kmi on it! Theres absolutely no mods to speak of but who cares, its not a rice-burner, it doesnt need them.

Came late to the party
But both of my daughters 18 and 21 are fighting about who's getting my 2000 S80 2.9 with 120K miles on it next year, when I am getting a new 2008 S80,
They both drive it with love on every opportunity.
