Ok, the idea hit me to get my wife one of these for Christmas. My local dealer has a few on his lot but I didn't see a color combo I liked. She loves her S70 GLT but she has been taking my R because of all the room for the baby's stuff. She'll get mad at me for trading in her car but I hope the sight of the XC in the garage will quickly calm her down.

The only things I know we'd want are the graphite interior, not black and a sunroof, towing package ... I need to look at the brochure for options. Do they offer a rear seat DVD player for kids?

I'll probably go withthe 2.5t for better fuel economy and to save some $$. Should we wait until spring for any particular changes or improvements?

Appreciate the feedback.

Hey...I 've got a nice T6 Ruby Red M/Graph L with Climate, Versatility and Bi-Xenons! At $43,855 it is only priced just above a nicely equpped 2.5T! And it will be here between X-MAS and New Year's! http://********************/smile/emwink.gif

I can also add an Audiovox DVD player (w/ game ports) for under $2K.

Hey, I am just trying to help! Ordering one now, you are looking well into late March.

What does this have to do with buying an XC90? Sure, the ideal situation is to buy and service at the same place but buying at RETAILER A does not mean you can't service the car at RETAILER B! http://********************/smile/emsmilep.gif

That'll get you in one by Christmas morning Chris.....

Wish my wife thought like you do. http://********************/smile/emwink.gif

As for Volvo options, they do offer a system as well that is ceiling mounted. Here's a pic of the Volvo system.

I think this is the same system (below) that Yannis is talking about. He had it installed in an XC while we were up there for the GTG at Stillman Volvo.

I know I know. I can get service anywhere. But it's the free loaner we like getting. http://********************/smile/emsmile.gif Although, I just scheduled my 30k maintenance on my R and asked for a loaner and I didn't buy it there, so maybe I don't have to buy it locally.

I think the T6 fuel economy will be too close to traditional SUVs - the 18 city/24highway of the 2.5t sounds decent -- but I guess if you price it out per tank full its only a couple more bucks. But over time that could add up. Pricing a 2.5t online did come out to about $42k so for a wee bit more we'd be in a T6.

Yeah, George, that's what we'd like to have, a ceiling mount.

I need to sort this out this week...I hate when I get ideas like this. http://********************/smile/emcrook.gif

When you come in for service, there is always a warranty item that needs to be repaired, a recall, or whatever. 90% of the major Retailers supply customers with loaners no matter where they bought the car. It is the "cost" of doing business the RIGHT way...
