Finally did my coolant change on the V70R. Thanks to redalrt and phuz for previously posting helpful tips, like the location of the water jacket drain (redalrt) and the coolant capacity (phuz). I used a 13 mm combination wrench and clear flexible plastic tubing (Tygon) on the engine block drain, and a 13 mm deep socket on the bottom radiator drain. Very little coolant came out of the engine block drain (maybe less that half a cup), but it is worth doing anyway. I did it all with the car on a lift, so it is fairly easy to reach everything and not get splashed on. Definitely would be harder with the car on jackstands and having to do all this lying on your back.

A lift and a place to put it are officially on my Christmas list, along with an FMIC, tune and softloader.
