coming from someone that had a Prestige Q7(work vehicle) - i can honestly say the XC90 (specifically the T8 - yes Yannis i'm recanting my statement) - would be the best buy, today.
Our actual XC90 is the T6 because at the time i was skeptical of how well the T8 would perform not to mention early T8 owners had some pretty annoying issues etc etc.
Fit and Finish, the XC90 LOOKS way nicer - when it's clean. Actually keeping the black trim and linear wood clean is a different story. The Q7 was way too clinical and was the main reason we swapped over to the GLS.
Driving experience - the 4C Suspension cannot really compare to the Q7's 4 wheel steering (which was the original reason for purchase) - but the Audi's 4 wheel steering was not enough to keep us happy.
Looks wise - yes the GLS is the most outdated looking of them all, but is just such a solid car. We kept the XC90 because quite honestly, it is a pleasure to look at, sit in, and the DRLs are just beautiful. I Wish we could properly find a way without using some weird repeater or bridge to get the Euro lights added on here. (haha #e-codes)
The Audi was blah and honestly not all that exciting. The leather felt nicer, but i was not feeling like it was bounds and bounds above the XC90. The Audi electronics are a bit better - although in a german way vs the Volvo simply looking better in aesthetics.
But the B&W is literally one of the best on the market.
Troll or no troll - this car is not without it's issues - but the Q7 had a ton of issues too. The GLS has had literally no issues for us, but that may also be due to the fact that this car is nearly 10 years old? i believe it's been on the same chassis with just some cosmetic and internal electronics updates.
