Hello-
We are considering trading in our VW Passat for a 2004 V70 at a Subaru dealer. Car looks/runs good, but we will have an independent Volvo shop check it out before purchase.
Its got 71,000 miles, 2.5TFWD. Anything wrong with this model year - or big items I should expect at this mileage? Our family has a few Volvos, so we are comfortable with them overall. We will only drive about 10,000 miles/year and plan on holding onto this car for 5 years or more.
We are also considering a XC70, but I see no need for AWD.
Thanks in advance-
K.

Nothing wrong with them but that's an awful lot of miles for an 04 when there are plenty out there with many less miles on them

Mine has been blissfully trouble free, though I've only put 38k on the odometer....

We are looking at it for a fair price. Its the color and features combination we want too. Thanks for the comments.

That's a ton of miles, that's almost 24K miles a year. The 04 V70s are pretty straight automobiles though. What about a new Subaru Legacy wagon? You're already there, heck why not?
