We have an appointment for our 30k service next week, and I want to make sure that we cover as many tech notes and recalls as possible with one trip. So far this is my list of gripes:
- Severe wheel bearing noise (TNN 77-16)
- Tie rod assy (recall R157)
- Battery cables (recall R150)
- Windshield wipers (recall R156)
- Plastic dead-cover on right rear door lose
- Driver's window doesn't fully seal on closure
- Excessive wear on 3rd row seat heads (they ID'd this and ordered the part previously)
What other common Volvo-recognized problems or recalls are there that I should have addressed?
Thanks!

Modified by Clarkbar at 6:01 AM 6-3-2006

Not a "catch-all" by any means and not as timely as it could be but you can start here for some of the 2005/2006 TNNs: http://www.alldata.com/tsb/Volvo/index-post.html

Re: Comprehensive List of Tech Notes, Recalls, etc??? (ggleavitt)

ggleavitt,
Thanks. That's one of the resources I used.
The XC is back from service, and they failed to repair the loose cover on the right/rear door handle, they replaced the wrong headrest cover (though they remedied that quickly when I pointed it out), and didn't even address the driver's window. For full disclosure to other US Expat/Military in Germany, this is Autohaus Goelz in Plieningen.
THEN, they changed out the front brake pads w/o even asking me for authorization!!! I refused to pay for the parts, as I told them I wanted my own hand-selected pads on there (not the dusty OEM ones). They were, as an good Teutons, shocked that I didn't just automatically accept the only obvious choice: to have them replace the worn pads for "safety" IMMEDIATELY with OEM parts. Then they tried to argue that the warranty would be voided if I used non-OEM.
I am SO sick of Germany.

Who did you deal with at Goelz? So far, we've had very good experiences with them, but our 90 still has less than 10K on it. I take it in on Wed to have the steering arm recall work done.
