Hi everyone,
I plan to buy an S60 2.4T later this year and I have a question regarding colors.
Is Mistral Green Metallic the European name for Platinum Green? I have only seen pictures of Platinum green, but it seems it's called Mistral Green Metallic in Europe as Platinum green is not available here. Can anyone confirm that this is the same color?
Thanks

Here is what I can tell you about Platinum Green in America. It is a color that we currently offer on S80, S60, V70 and V70 Cross County models. Bamboo Green is a color that is very close to Platinum Green that is available here on S40 sedans and V40 wagons. And for the new XC90 there will be a new color - Crystal Green Metallic which is lighter than both Platinum Green Metallic and Bamboo Green.

Unfortunately, Volvo Cars of North America bastardizes the original names for marketing reasons. The average American does not know what "Mistral" is whereas "Platinum" is a very well known word.
Same goes for the "Tropic Green Metallic" #412 (a.k.a here as Blue Green Metallic), "Marine Blue Metallic" (a.k.a. here as Nautic/Pacific Blue Metallic), "Scarab Green Metallic" (a.k.a. Cypress Green Metallic), etc., etc., etc.
Yannis

Thank you for the info. I knew I should ask here because even my dealer couldn't tell me that.
