Apparently my google-fu is weak, because I can't seem to find an answer. Is there (OEM or otherwise) a low profile roof box that comes in Bursting Blue to match my wagon? I feel like I've seen pictures of XC60s with color-matched blue roof boxes, but I can't seem to find anywhere one could buy such a thing.

People get those done themselves at shops specializing in paint. Volvo itself doesn’t sell them, and I haven’t seen any third parties that use matching OEM paint colors as factory.

Maybe it's something for the European market only? Or that dealer went above & beyond to paint a roof box to match for the customer.

Yeah - that's not even the OEM roof box lol, so the dealer is probably partnered with that roof box company.

If you click on the photographer - the roofbox is made by a company called "Skiguard" manufactured in Norway. They apparently sell in the US and Canada and they offer custom paint jobs.

The other alternative is to find a roof box you like and then wrap it in something that closely matches your car.

I don't have (or want) instagram) so I can't see that picture, but honestly, I tend to find a little color contrast in the accessories better looking than being all matchy-matchy.

We have several Packasport roof boxes and painting to match is pretty easy for any body shop. If you are planning on painting, buy a used box on craigslist...save on the purchase and it will pay for the paint.

That's a really good idea. Since you are painting it, it will look like new anyway! Might as well save the cash.
