However, given the position of the stock intercooler, I dont' think you could even install this thing on a stock R.

same thing I have, just use the bottle for nitrous. Nitrous works much better but CO2 is way cheaper to refuel.

Re: (R_Rated)

Yeah but you've got a true FMIC.
The amount of flow that goes through the stock "helper" IC is pitiful. To have any noticeable effect I have to imagine you'd have to rip the front end off and sandwich between the condensor and main IC.
You might as well just go the extra step and rip them both out and install a FMIC and take a pass on the CO2 until later if the FMIC isn't sufficient.

There is NO intercooler spray that is worth the trouble on our cars without doing an FMIC FIRST. If you are concerned with cooling and do not want to do an FMIC get the aquamist.

Re: (StaggRLee)

Is it possible (of course everything is possible, but not necessarily economic) to move the R intercooler in front of the condenser?
I have not seen anyone talking about this, so I guess not?

There's a lot better ways to spend $1000 IMO.

Re: (23109VC)

Actually, the "pre coolers" like the one on R have shown to be very effective as being a heat sink that saves the ic from being heat soaked too quickly. Solid enginering is why its there. (I've seen/done data logs)
Not saying improvement can't be made though and I would say that it would not be too much of a stretch that you would see some nice gains in say a 1/4 mile drag or maybe a just 3rd-5th gear run.
DO IT (Ben Stiller)
but...
Agreeed, if you are still on stock boost, probably shouldn't bother with it.
And..
A better FMIC is still a better more long term application.

Neither CO2 nor NOx are Al Gore approved.
