im installing a clutch from( spec clutch), stage 2.and i dont know if i can get away with resurfacing the flywheel or what.its on my 01 s60 t5. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vortexmediagroup.com/images/banghead.gif" BORDER="0">

dont u think that i should resurface the flywheel before installing the new clutch. for better performance.

Resurfacing is only required if the flywheel is scored. Flywheels that show signs of bluing or radial cracks must be replaced.<p>Resurfacing the flywheel will not improve your performance -- not even a bit. The friction co-efficient of the clutch and flywheel is a factor of:<p>a. pressure plate force;<br>b. pressure plate design (esp. centrifugal clamping devices);<br>c. clutch material (organic, ceramic or metal).
