Clutch Shudder when Cold

When jumping in the car after leaving the car overnight or sitting during the day, the clutch shudders no matter how delicate I am with the clutch.

It is only for the first minute or two and then is fine.

It is not a huge problem (not sure how it looks from the outside but perhaps a bit embarassing as the car jerks away!)

The car about 140,000miles and I am not sure if the clutch has ever been changed.

let the car warm up and it will not do this..at least that is how my car is..

it only does it when the engine is dead at ambient temp..let it warm up for a minute or two and this does not happen..
