Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that my beloved “Daisy” is up for sale on Bring A Trailer. Please check it out and let me know if you have any questions. I tried to do a real thorough job with pictures and details, and also some maintenance before listing it.

I'm not signed up on BaT or I'd comment there. But you should point out that it also has the FACTORY ORIGINAL intercooler piping that was recalled very shortly after the launch of the turbo 850. Apparently the throttle body could ice up easily in the winter with it, so they re-routed it with the convoluted piping you see on all of them now. There are aftermarket kits to switch it back but yours is original Volvo. The recall started in September/October of 1994 so the original owner must have sourced one and put it on, they were available for a short while. Dealerships removed and threw away hundreds of the original piping kits, a few people saved them.

Lots of people say it's irrelevant to performance but IPD claims lower intake temps, which makes sense due to the recall. It's also over a foot shorter, which is always good in terms of lag and throttle response. I mean, when you look at it, it's obviously a more efficient routing and was designed that way.

It was actually sourced by me and put back on, it was tough to find! Like you mentioned, the Volvo ones simply don’t exist anymore because they were tossed out
