I obviously haven't had to program any updates yet, so we'll see when the time comes. Performance wise, I can certainly feel the difference in acceleration, especially after 40mph or so. I haven't tried to top out anywhere yet, and I certainly won't do so until I get to a track. I have a feeling that I'll be spending some time out in the county though, where there are lots of nice, long stretches I can test it out on. I'm curious as to the effect on fuel economy as well. I'm driving down to Seattle tonight for the evening, so I will try to monitor it under normal driving conditions and see what happens. Stay tuned!

I'll try to get a dyno in somewhere as well. Anybody know of a place in or around Seattle (or Bham even)? If IPD's tune is much better than BSR's, then I will certainly switch when the time comes. As I said, my impatience got the best of me!

It also feels and sounds a lot smoother and more refined, like this is how the car was meant to be in the first place. I imagine that around town the mileage will suffer a bit due to my lead foot and ability to accelerate, but at freeway speeds the car just plain cruises with very little effort. I maintained 80mph and was getting upwards of 30mpg. I barely have to touch the gas and the thing just takes off. It literally feels like the car is yawning at 80mph, like it's waiting for me to let it off it's leash...I love it! Three cheers for ECU upgrades!!!

I would love to see some more technical data that explains and/or visually shows what exactly is done during an ECU remap. Anybody?

I do recall seeing some sort of 3D graph regarding this process. Was I just imagining things or does something like this exist? It might be proprietary though...
