Re: Child Safe Windows? (smartxtai)
I've heard this term apply to windows in two ways. One refers to a window switch design that makes it difficult for a child to accidentally activate the roll-up function if, say, he is leaning out the window. The S40 has that switch design (you have to pull up, rather than push back or forth, to roll up the window; it's hard to do that accidentally). The second, which is probably what your deflectors are concerned with, refers to pinch protection, where a window that is rolling up will reverse and go back down if it detects an obstruction in its path. The S40 has pinch-protection windows.
