So I purchased my 2004 S60R in December and ever since I have drove her the warning triangle comes on with the message check stop lamp whenever I brake. Anyways I have taken the back lights out and looked at the bulbs themselves and everything works. I'm thinking it is a wiring issue, any thoughts? Also does anyone have a rough estimation of what a dealer would charge to fix the problem? Wiring is just a fear of mine since it is like a wild goose chase. Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the bulbs are the correct model.

The message is triggered by the current draw of the lamp. If it's incorrect you either have a open (no current draw) or wrong amount ( too high or low)

Glad it was such an easy fix.
