Hi Everyone. Here are a couple of links to my new car. I am very excited after waiting and waiting for the right color combo to come up for sale. I already painted the trim, installed my racks and tuned it up. Next is to clean the interior. The last owner was a pig. Any suggestions? I think i will cut out the center resinator and mount a boost gauge somewhere. I saw one in the cieling on utube and loved it. Cant find it anywhere now!
Looking forward to chatting.
http://s888.photobucket.com/al...5.jpg
http://s888.photobucket.com/al...4.jpg
I'll get more up soon!

Nice! You actually got a very similar car that another member purchased. 04' Ti/Atacama with a roof rack as well.

Re: (S60R1)

Yes its a manual. I'm looking for any suggestions on what to clean the interior with. I am planning a purchase. Chrome lugnuts was 1st on the list. I get crazy every time I see them. I was thinking about the ram air kit that allowed you to cut the vents into the hood. But they look plastic. I was in Danvers at the liberty tree mall and spotted a red V70R atacama. Nice to see people around with good taste.

Besides the aero kit...I like the aluminium radio knobs...they are pricey, but worth it IMO. http://www.vivaperformance.com...d=749
Here they are on my car:

Also the Thule wheel holder is great (Frees up your trunk space): http://www.amazon.com/Thule-59...r=8-1
on my car:

- Marty

It wasn't "amazing" like many have hyped it to be, but then again, my atacama is in great shape to begin with. I could definately see dirt on my terry towel after cleaning with woolite, but it was only slightly greyish. I used 1/5th of the bottle of solution when I cleaned the front, back and door trim (with shift knob, steering wheel, and center console). the 1:6 ratio was a good mix and made my car smell great!
For God's sake, go and buy a new spray bottle with hatch marks for 3 buckaroos. Do not just empty out a spray bottle that holds harsh cleaning agents and re use it. I would not want traces of ammonia to come anywhere near my atacama. Now I have a bottle of great smelling solution that works better than febreze.
This is what I did with great results:

Step 1. Spray white terry towel with 1:6 solution
Step 2. Wipe leather with damp towel with very slight pressure (don't forget the seams and stitching)
Step 3. Wait a few seconds
Step 4. use another white terry towel to wipe off woolite solution before it drys.
Step 5. Buff your leather dry with very slight pressure
Step 6. Repeat 1-5 with Lexol CONDITIONER and two new towels (I used microfiber for this step).
Step 7. Leave car overnight.

Re: (SHOlover)

Thank you so much. Looks like this will be the next project for me. Your car looks amazing. That exhaust looks amazing. Do you think it will look good without the ground effects? What is it where do I find it? How does it sound. I agree about the new spray bottles.

Congrats on your new purchase! It looks like its in pretty good shape, even if the previous owner was a pig.
Looks just like mine when I just bought it. Same roof rack too haha.
So it seems everyone really likes the Titanium/Atacama combo here, eh?

Congrats on the ride, great color combo too!
not sure if it was mentioned or if it's been done, but remove the exhaust bracket asap.
for treatment of leather, either lexol or leatherique seem to be the most popular. lots of threads on it.

doh,,,, all this was posted above if i'd read closer...
1:6 woolite/water,,,, for cleaning,
make sure you treat with conditioner.--more often is better than drowning.... I use lexol and have good results, make sure it is conditioner though, the cleaner is too harsh.

Agree 100% with the woolite but if you are going to all that trouble why mess it up with Lexol which will build up over time? Trust me and try out Spinneybeck leather treatment. It is the best conditioner out there.

Re: (ollie)

Nice ride!
You should protect the inside dash/panels with 303 aerospace protectant. It's 10x better than armorall and doesnt leave the inside with a silicone gloss. You can pick a bottle up at EMS. Hopefully you can stop by tomorrow in Ipswich.

Re: (Oz60R)

Thanks for all of the good info. I just tried the woolite and lexol on right seat and right door. door panel looks very good. seat looks the same, just slightly more slippery. I am happy with the results. it was a quick try and I plan on doing the whole thing more indepth. What is the exhaust bracket removal? All my friends and I go to lynn woods or salem woods early Satuday and Earily on Sunday.. (all 2 of us LOL) Always looking for people to ride. Unfortunately or not I will be in Laconia NH for the weekend. Maybe get lucky enough to ride Gunstock Mountian.. Anyone around the Salem area that wants to get together and ride or come hang out. I built a sweet garage at my house with all of the comforts. Fridge TV Lift.... The lift is a pain. When i want to put the Volvo on it, I have to move my wifes Ram Air Cutlass SX and drop my 442 convertable and then I can use it for the volvo. Life is aweful. Just kidding. always looking for car people to hang out.
