Did alot of reading on here. I already knew since my AWD quit working to check the rear driveshaft to eliminate the collar gear.
Collar gear is not bad.
Pulled off the DEM module because I was inspecting the connectors on it and one had some corrosion inside the connector. Cleaned it off, put it back together and still nothing.
Tried to pull codes and I am not able to communicate with the DEM for some reason.
Pulled codes on chasis module, no codes, all kinds of different modules, and all showed no codes.
My ? is will a failed temp sensor throw this message on the information center?
Thanks in advance.

What are you pulling codes with, and OBDII generic reader?
You need a hookup to VIDA to pull most specific codes. Sounds like you need to visit the dealer for a computer refresh.

I'm using a Genisys OTC scanner. It is not just a generic OBDII scanner.
So computer refresh? Does that kinda re-initilize the computer? Just seems like the AOC / DEM are not talking to anything. I get AOC communication error when looking at the suspension computer....

Stupid question...is the fuse blown?
There's no reason it should be out of communication as long as it has power.

Checked every single fuse in the car. That was one of my initial thoughts.
Little more of what I had found....
The DEM connector had a little corrosion inside it. So I removed the dem, cleaned off all connectors and put it back together. That is the ONLY thing I did. After doing that I started getting the Anti-Skid message...strange huh?

Good luck that reminds me of the first time I got that message. wound up having to do a whole new front strut, springs, spring seats, controlarm bushings, end links replacements. Hook up to VIDA get more accurate description of whats wrong! Nick from highbloom did it for me and let me know.
P.S. I was also getting the anti skid message as well!

Yes indeed, water damaged car. Well, got the anti skid message to go away, but still no dice on communicating with the DEM.
I have completely removed the dem, completely dismantled it and there is no evidence of it ever being wet....

When I monitor it it's constantly showing 32 degrees for the temp. I thought when the temp sensors fail it would show overheating all the time....???

If you can, do a continuity test on each wire/conductor. If the wires check out, you may need a new module...take it to the dealer and check for codes, see if they can test each module.

S60R1, Yeah I did do just that. I have continuity all the way to under the left rear seat. That is where the harness that goes from the DEM connects to the car. Took it to the dealer today to have them "reset" the DEM and all is well! Even cleared my Chasis blah blah message. YAY. 40 miles so far so good.
While they did that I had them print me the list of codes that were stored in all modules. The only code I have is for the AUM and it's only because I have an aftermarket stereo.
