Im gonna change it at 15k becuase i wanna put a K&N air filter in it and add a couple more horse. Does anyone have one of those?? i heard ur car sounds lowder when its in. For the 2001 S60, this is what Volvo says:

quote:
Air Cleaner
Replace the air cleaner cartridge with a new one every 30,000 miles.

For the 2002 S60, this is what Volvo says:

quote:
Engine Air Filter
Replace the engine air filter cartridge with a new one every 37,500 miles under normal driving conditions.

Not sure why things have changed a little, but if you want to change to K&N now, that should not be a problem at all, especially since it is something that is not really cost prohibitive (#33-2176 @ $62) IMHO. I have heard from import owners that it gives a little sportier intake noise.
-Drew
[This message has been edited by InDy (edited 06-20-2002).]

I purchased mine from Martel. It does make a slight difference, however be VERY sure you remove the mass air flow sensor first before you install. And put some grease at the rear of the housing. FYI
-Marc

Marc -
Some past threads talked about problems with the K&N Filter...what's the truth? My main concern is how something could actually let more air in but not more dust in....not too good with physics but it concerns me....
