Hey does anybody have a tutorial for removing the center console on a 05+ volvo s60? I need to remove mine to get access to the hand brake mechanism and adjust it because the parking brake is jammed (I washed my car before I left it in my heated garage for a week while I was on vacation and now the car doesn't want to move at all even when the hand brake is not engaged) I did try to go forward and reverse a few times but with no success

I've done a 04-to-05 console swap before and it was pretty straight forward removing the console. Just a couple of screws at the front, panels on the side, screws in the armrest compartment, and disconnect the 12v outlet in the rear and it should come right out. Careful with the bone tool when working on handbrake boot sleeve; the leather is wrapped around a plastic frame that has tabs inserted downward into the console. Don't want to break off tabs.

You don't have to pull the console to adjust the handbrake. The nut is right under the handle, so if you lift the boot and trim, and lift up a plastic guard, the nut is right there.

Tightening it will lock the brake. You need to loosen it. Unless that's what you meant.
