The only difference I can tell is that there's a slight "chirping" noise when I lightly press the brakes. I can't tell where it's coming from. Would brake issues set off a CEL?
In to the dealer on Monday.

Maybe as simple as the air filter needs cleaning...

Frank, does a message come up?
I recently had a "Brake assist service required" message. Cleared the code with my scanner and it hasn't come back yet.

I will take it in tomorrow to get it diagnosed.
While I'm at it, I'm going to see if they can fix my brake squeal, even though I have aftermarket brakes: http://www.alldata.com/tsb/Vol...51-09/

Re: CEL came on (frankhoffy)

Sure enough, the light went out this morning. I think it was just bad gas, because it was idling pretty rough when cold also.
This is the second time this has happened in this area. Have the stations been watering down their gas or what? I've never had a problem at Texaco or Chevron. Exxon or Safeway gas, however...
