Time to go to the dealer.

Hope you have warranty.

Sorry dude. I had the problem a couple times, and I won't burn cd's anymore. My service guy basically told me that if it happens again, I would be paying. They have to take the cd player out, replace it, send the unit to volvo and they send it back. Not much else you can do. If you try and take it out yourself, you risk breaking the cd and the player. You never know though... you might get lucky.

Good luck.
Re: CD Unreadable and stuck!!! (failurbydesign)

Ive gotten DVD's that did that out of a XC90 player (little girl put two in at the same time
) and it still worked afterwards but otherwise if your under warranty just take it in.

I dont beleive its just the CD either, because ive recently put in a data CD in my changer and it read unreadable and was still able to eject it. Pretty sure the unit itself is faulty and will require replacement whether you get it out or not.

Patience.

it'll eject eventually. one of mine ejected after 2 days and i never put a cd-r in again, also have never had a problem again.
What are these 'CD' things you speak of??

Sincerely,

Ipod.

That's not what my newly acquired Dension Gateway 500 says.
But I do share the sentiment and resent that our cars can't easily be upgraded to play ipods without an fm transmitter...$430-600 for a GW500 and it still has a weird interface...

Mine wouldn't even spit it out. Just click a lot.
Re: (S4000)

I have an ipod now and hate using it in our cars. Half the time i just throw the CD in instead since the quality is so much better over the fm transmitter. Cant stand the stupid static from the rear speakers when i use the ipod.
It's ridiculous that the CD player gets completely borked if you put in an MP3 CD. If the unit plays MP3s and then refuses to eject them that's the fault of the head unit not the customer. Or did I miss some really small print in the manual?.....
