I have read through thread for several hours and am still a bit confused. Just purchased well used 04 V70R (135k)and I have a friend/mechanic who can do the complete 16 qt flush on his own time at a Volvo dealership. He tells me they use synthetic fluid there and as I read it the AWD Volvos use the non synthetic JWS3309 standard found in products made by Mobil and listed as a spec for Castrol Import Multi-vehicle ATF. Just want to make sure I am using correct fluid and avoid any potential issues. I have to assume the Castrol stuff will work if spec sheet says it meets Assin-Warner specs? Sry for the newbie post and thanks in advance
