It was definitely a great event. Turned out to be a much enjoyable get together event than I expected.
I have to say it was very nice to meet all you guys from Swedespeed. We should do this more often. I know when my car is done(God knows when), I'll be at GMU for that **** event on June 9th. Just to show them what you can do to a Volvo.
Last thing...I think if there was any sorta award to give out for the most kickass car that day, gotta be 1fastbox's ride. That thing is sweeeeeet...for the mileage it's got, it sure was the cleanest yellow T5-R I've ever seen. Dang..I thought my 850 was going to be the cleanest.

Kai
I definitely enjoyed the show, the weather, and meeting up with everyone again. The Volvo turnout was much better than expected, and I thought the varity of models & years of other cars was quite impressive.
By the way, if you want a pair of those ATE grooved rotors, you can get them from http://www.alloemvolvoparts.com/ for $44.77 each, and they offer free shipping for orders over $50. In comparison, gapa.com has them for $62.56 and IPD has them for $65.90.

I went back yesterday guys, and the Volvo Club of America won second place (to the Fiero club ???) for best turnout. That's pretty cool I think, as there were a ton of us there on Saturday.
Anyway, it was nice to meet all of you, and I agree 1FastBox's 850 T-5R was one of the nicer cars there. I got a chance to take a closer look at the thing, and it's just amazing how good of shape it is in, not to mention the little details like the Volvo factory upper strut tie bar and the MY2K washer jets. It's the little things that add up, and I think I'll be copying him on both those upgrades on our R.

Ditto on what everybody was saying! It was a fun event and I enjoyed meeting everyone. I was in love with 1fastbox's 850. That thing was perfect. Now I have something to work towards with mine. I feel bad now, for a car that has 3k more miles on it than mine, it made mine look like it had 600K miles more than it really does. Kudos on keeping a car that perfect! Well, it was a fun time and I am glad to hear that we were recognized for the turnout. Just remember, it is the quality and NOT the quantity showing that matters. (Nuff said there ) Can't wait for the next event. See you all there!
Prospero
BTW, George, can you post the part number for the strut mount brace please. I want to order mine this week. Also, if you want a good price at the Volvo dealer, I do get wholesale/cost with my account.

Mike: Thanks for the info, I'll give them a call. Probably want to get those rotors if I don't plan to sell my 240.
George: Hey..I didn't mean the '****' event the racist way, just a figure of speech for Honda in general. Sorry about that....
Matt: Let me know when you have free to drop by and do something about the sound system. Or we'll just wait for the C70 to come out and take its headunit.

I just got back from Pittsburgh and have to figure out where that number is. I had it before I left, and I know it's on my desk here somewhere.
BTW, 1FastBox's car was sweet, but he's cheating a little on you Matt . I thought the same thing, and not to detract from the car in ANY way, but his odometer reads in kilometers. We figured it to be easily over 100K miles, which is still significant considering his paint looks better than my R with half the mileage.

Good catch George! Well, now I don't feel so bad. I was seriously bummed thinking that he had more miles than I did AND his car looked better. One of the two isn't so bad. Well, I'm going to polish my engine real quick. Chat with you later on.
BTW>>>Take your time on the part number. The weather is not goiong to be too nice for the next few days so I won't be needing the strut brace for a while. Oh, and Anelia says hi.
Prospero
