I have noticed when I polish my tail pipes that I have quite a bit of carbon on the inside of my exhaust tips. Seems like cars I have had in the past there isn't this sort of black carbon build up. Anyone else have this?? Most of my driving is at altituds between 5,000 and 9,000 feet. oclv

Re: Carbon on inside of exhaust tips (oclv)

Strange ... I have actually noticed an ABSENCE of carbon in comparison to past vehicles. On my last car (Mercedes Benz SLK230 w/supercharged I4) I always ended up with a rag full of soot when wiping the underside of my pipes. The R does no such thing.
