Hey everybody-
For those who don't know I had a Volvo 745 and wanted a smaller car for when I moved into the city. I wanted a S40 but they don't come in sticks so I got a Inifinti G20.
I went looking for a nissan forum but found that they suck compared to swedespeed or the brickboard. I have a couple questions that are more about cars in general than just my car so I hope thats okay.
My new car got smashed and I was pretty sure that it would have been totaled but it wasn't. There was about $3,000 worth of work plus what ever they find after they pry the door off. So it is in the shop for the next month I got to thinking what I should do while it is in there.
Now that it is in the shop I want to start transforming to into the Japanese/Euro model of the car, the Nissan Primera. I don't want to put the euro airdams or sideskirts because I want to put something a little more extreme it the body kit depertment. But I do want to put the electric folding Japanese Domestic Market mirrors on the car along with the nissan grille and emblems. I am going to put a Fuba antenna on the roof so I asked and the body shop agreed to remove the old antenna and fill the hole. Since the antenna is close to the trunk they will have to blend on the trunk and clear coat the entire trunk. I asked them to not put new emblems back on the car because I want primera instead of G20.
How would I go about waxing the car?
I put the emblems on the car before wax but after cleaning?
How long should I let the paint set before I wax the car?
I don't know exactly what to do.

Colin,

quote:
I put the emblems on the car before wax but after cleaning?

There definitely should not be any wax on the paint where you are planning to put your emblems. You can always wax the entire car and then strip the wax in the area where you plan on putting emblems later. This can be done easily with dishwashing soap and alcohol.

quote:
How would I go about waxing the car? I am not really sure about this one, but you should ask the people who are working on your car or a shop that specializes in painting cars.
Have you visited www.G20.net That is the best place I found for info on P10 G20's. Have you found a place to get Primera emblems and other stuff?

-Drew
[This message has been edited by InDy (edited 10-17-2001).]
