Hello all,
I had a few issues with my 05 v70R so I went into the dealership and fixed my main issue and had the car serviced.
main issue is axle splines neeed lock tight and a to be tightened down.
Now the car has no clunking out of the frone end.
Had the 60k plus transmission change in preperation for tune package also had the front bumper screwed back in as it was sagging from being run into curbs by first owner.
I also had the transmission software upgrade.
the overall cost was 992.73
i feel good because it was a utah one owner lease return with all maintance done and i only paid 14k. so now up to 15k with 30k until i touch anything except the oil.

Re: car running perfect after 60k service (geddyup)

Was that the regular "time for Service" price at 60K? Mine is due and I'd like to do some of it on my own as the guys here said is do-able.
Was that for just major stuff?

Re: car running perfect after 60k service (geddyup)

this is a good post.
i wish more people would post when they have a good volvo dealer experience
one question: how do you know they did anything at all ?
i always feel better when I see grease on my atacama, a few new dents and scratches, my wheel bolts torqued to 87 Newton Kilometers, and a $47 charge for topping off my windshield washer fluid ....
...because I know that at the very least, somebody actually moved the car from one parking space to another
and then put some cardboard on the floorboard and a number on my rearview mirror stalk
...that's gotta be worth a thousand bucks

I'm sure it will be pointed out sooner or later, but it would have been better to get the XC90 axle bolts(splines as you are calling them) instead of the lock-tite. The lock-tite is only a temporary solution to 'axle ping'
Search 'axle ping' to learn more.
Good thread: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=60005
