There's a guy (http://www.swedespeed.com/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000624.html) here using some brembo system at 13.1 inch...is that 322 mm also? I forgot if mine is 320, 322, or 330....but doubt that few mm will matter all that much, right?
Actually now I feel 14~15 inch would be more appropriate for my application. Or maybe the big brake system for the REAR like the ones the new S60R has.

that is a damn sexy ferrari man, and i don't even care for them usually.
Terence, i know we don't really know eachother, but i hope one day you'll own another "wicked fast volvo". I know you helped lead the way with your 16T install, and we all appreciate that kind of "moxie".
Kai,
The brakes are 12.8" with custom made hats and OEM porsche V-vaned rotors and the calipers of the 1996/7 993 Turbo.
The reason i went with this kit is that these systems have all been proven to stop way better than stock, and have almost zero fade after continuous hard braking situations, plus i was able to put it together for less than the AP system i was initially looking at.
Love your brembo kit, but i thought it would be cool to be the first in the US with the porsche upgrade to my T-5R. (at least i hope i am)

Oh terence,
any info on your intercooler water spray kit would be great, i know lots that are computer controlled based on instant boost, rpm, speed and all that jazz, they determine whether the spray would be effective or not, then there's the ghetto-style push button any time system (what i had though of using GUILTY).
Thanks.

First to do the upgrade to YOUR Volvo or first to a Volvo? Then if those calipers of yours are the same as mine....then.....hmm...heheh.
Anyway, Monkey's kit has some very huge calipers, not sure if anyone can beat that size....unless we are talking about the 6 pot system from AP.

It looks to me that the stillen kit is a brembo system, but what i do know about the calipers i'm getting is they're the porsche/brembo sealed 4 piston huge calipers that are very commonly used on aftermarket upgrades. I don't know what the brembo system is that stillen offers, but i have a feeling they're fairly simelar in intention, mine just costs much less and has proven parts on it.
I don't know how they compare to your system, but from the looks of it, i think they're almost a dead on match for size in caliper/rotor. It's just that those hot volks make it hard to put them to scale.
Oh well, not to worry, i'm going to be putting them on within the next two weeks (after i drive out to CO for school), so i'll be sure to show you lots of pics, if you want to talk more, just IM me.

To tell you the truth, I am thinking about getting a 854T as a project car since they are damn cheap in HK. But give me some time (and money )to sort out my scooby first and then I will think about the Volvo.

It's great that we are talking about brakes as I am currently in the market for a kit to replace my STI 4-pots/295mm rotors with something bigger and better. Any suggestions for kits under $2K?
As for the intercooler spray, it is from Pivot which is a electronic controller. You can control the spray manually or automatically based on boost, rpm and time. It is mainly designed for cars with manual water spray kit(Evo, STi). But Pivot also came out with a nozzle kit designed for the Legacy B4. The controller and the nozzle kit cost me less than US$200, and it is mightly useful as heat has been a big issue for me since my intercooler mounts onto of the engine. Anyway, here is the link to the page (in Japanese though)
http://www.the-pivot.co.jp/pages/new.html
Pic of the controller:

I 100% support you....not sure how expensive it is to do similar stuff I've done to the C in HK, I know in TW...for all I have done so far, not including parts, should be well under $5K. But stepping down from AWD to heavy FWD could be quite painful at first.

quote:
Originally posted by Terence:
Any suggestions for kits under $2K?

I saw many kits out there for the WRX now, would that fit? Hmm....but it is WIP, as soon as I get more bonus next 1/4, I might make this happen. :p This quarter's barely covered my property tax.. And still have my sky high insurance bill to worry about. Oh...life is rough. I was almost at the stage of selling the C just b/c I can't afford to have two cars like this.
I am not giving up the B4 for a 854T, that is not gonna happen It's just that I am gonna be done with modding the B4 really soon. While being able to truly enjoy the car, I still have to find something to do at the same time. So I thought getting a cheap 854T and do some basic mods like what I used to have would be fun.
