So I'm looking to longer term plan some paint changes and i was going to start now and try to atleast get a feel for what my car look like at the end. As a result I'm trying to brainstorm some ideas to be able to mock up the car.

Current ideas is with colored paper or paper sprayed the correct color, and holding parts in place. Anyone have some good ideas?

I would post up a decent picture and let someone photoshop it for you. It is easy enough to change the color to get an idea.

Here are the pictures of my car. I'm look to see what the car would look like if i painted the wheels black and the columns between the windows black as wheel. Then i'm on the fence with either painting the spoiler black or match the body paint. Finally, I seen this on a couple cars and I was curious to see how paint the side mirrors black would look with the car.

Here you go, Im no expert but these should give you a decent idea of what it should look like.

I also took the liberty of adding more black to compliment the wheels and B/C pillar.

I would not do the mirrors or the rockers or side moldings then it looks like an XC
Black (or dark grey) wheels and the pillars will change the look a TON and will look just fine.
I also don't care for the black spoiler but to each his own and what's with the different wheels, looks a bit goofy.

Yours looks like a VERY clean V70, please don't frack it up.
Whatever you do, do it right and properly.

If you want to do something different, I P-Shopped this a few years ago when I had my older R which had more miles than the one I have now.
I saw this many years ago on a trick Audi wagon, looked fantastic!
Obviously would cost more (and you could go as dark as you want) but it's a different look and I almost did it!
Do the wheels to match the roof color.
If my R now didn't have 36K original miles, I would do something like this.

Do a vinyl wrap so its removable if your tastes change down the road.

Chilled Man's old 98 R.

Lookforjoe's XR

Both have the pillars blacked out with vinyl, far easier than paint and it is removable if you want to change things up.

Rather than painting body parts black, black headlights and tinted tails can dramatically change the appearance of a car.

My 99 R before

after

And here is the only good looking 2-tone paint job I've seen on one of these cars (yes, I know its an 850)

Thanks everyone this helped allot! I'll try to keep this updated with any changes that are made. The vinyl idea is really useful thanks for that. i'm probably going to go with plasti dip for the wheels since its cheaper and easier to complete and change. If anyone has any experience with it I'd love to hear it.

JRL: Yes she needs a little work right now with the drive shaft, control arms and trying to fix a dent from the previous owner. The reason for the two different wheels is because i didn't get around or had the money to buy a 2 wheels or a new full set for my winter tires so i have a half and half set up for the winter. Then the full car matches the front wheels.

MnOpRacIng thanks for the photoshop it looks great.

Vinyl Tape

Does anyone know which tape/wrap is best for the Pillars between the windows? I've looked around and haven't found a specific one for car exteriors.
