Would like to have the moulding and trim painted on my S60T (due late Feb) to match the rest of the car color (red). Have been told that the only problem is paint will chip easily. Any ideas on how to paint without chipping? I do hate the black mouldings and prefer to look like by C70.

I think that the 02' Volvo S80 will have all of the black mouldings painted to match the car. The Volvo S80 Executive in Sweden has this already. I am not sure when this will happen to the rest of the Volvo line.
The mouldings for your S60 can be painted, but it needs to be a special paint with flex agents added into the paint. The paint that is used for the car body will not work for the mouldings. You will need to find a good independent automotive paint specialist, they should be able to do it "very" easily. I know that there are people who have had this done to their 850's to match the look of the S70. This works great, but the paint used has to be "right"!
-Drew

Considering you can get a decent paint job on a whole car for $300 dollars, I don't think that painting the mouldings will cost very much. It is more labor intensive to prep the mouldings than to actually paint them. The moldings have to be stripped of all wax/polish/protectant before they can be painted. They best way for them to do it, is to actually take the moulding off of the car and paint them seperately.
-Drew
