Can I run 235mm tires on 7.5" wide wheels?

Or should I go with 225? I have 215/45/18 right now and am about to purchase some Nitto NT555. I'm thinking about 225/40/18 but if the 235's would fit I might consider them. I'm looking for a slightly more filled out wheel well and know I won't get much from a few mm, but anything helps.

Definitely will have a second set. Ice isn't so bad but the real problem is complete unpredictability. Snow follows 98 degree weather sometimes.

If You Look at the Spec. Chart Area When Looking at the Tires ,It will Give Rim Size Needed , Dia. of Tire & Rev's Per Mile.

I would Try the 225/50's If using 17"
On the 18" It gets Harder to get the Right Dia. , but seems
25.5 Dia. Deviation from Stock 24.9 wouldn't interfere .

I done some Traveling around Your Area , Lots of Country Rds. - Small Country Roads , Yet there are some - Nice Smooth Roads - Not as Bad as NY.
I'd Be Careful on the Low Profiles .
