I am looking to buy a V70, preferably an R. Unfortunately I need both the boosters and the 3rd row and I can't seem to find them in any 2000 R.s Is it possible to add them now, assuming I can find them at all?
Thanks for your help.

Re: Can booster seats and 3rd row seat from a 2000 v70 be installed in a 2000 V70R? (Ultra M)

Should be possible. It's going to be the same attachment points for the seats. Just a matter of swapping seats out.

Forgive me for not being terribly knowlegable about the previous generation of R's, but I do believe that some of them had interiors that were different from the regular V70s, meaning that while you can definitely swap out the booster seats, the material may not be the same.

This one is for the 2004+, which is based on the my 2001+ P2 design.
I do not think that integrated booster seats were available for the P1 design. You can add a 3d row seat to either model, however, Volvo no longer sells them for the P1 (<2001) design. For that model you would have to find a used one.
For the P2 design, you can also add a 3d row seat, and I beleive that I have seen back seat bottoms for sale, so I suspect that you could swap in one with integrated boosters. However, upholstery matching may be a problem.
Good luck.

Maybe the moderators should list the R forum like this
R forum (2004-current) for newbies. We all know it's for 2004-on, but a new guy wouldn't know. He'd see R forum and come here...even if he had a 1996 T5R and would be in the right because he's got an R and that's what the list says. All other models have years...why not the R?

Moderators can't create forums . . . that's up to Swedespeed Administrators.
This topic has been brought up before, and the ultimate decision was to leave the R forum as a multi-generational forum. Believe it or not, there are quite a few gen 1 R owners on this forum.
Regardless, this forum is open to all R owners (except for Honda Type R's, lol) for now.

You know darn well what happens to a P1 R owner who posts on the R forum....exactly what happened here. They get kicked over to the other forums (850, V70).

P1 is the internal designation for the 04.5 S40 and V50 chassis.

I can't speak for the 2000R but I can speak to the 99. The 3rd seat that was available for this is upholstered in plain vinyl that matches (color) the leather/alcantra of the front and rear seats. I'm assuming this seat is the same as that used in non-R's of that vintage

try contacting http://www.erievovo.com - they may have an a rear bench with boosters that you could purchase. I picked up a spare P2 rear bench with boosters, (charcoal with blue stitching ironically) so my kids to mess up the Nordkap rear bench.
