Well yes, we can argue about it being a misuse, more to the point is how she was able to pull it off. I thought there were warnings from the system if it recognized you were "abusing" its features.

There are warnings but she either did not see the message on the screen or chose to ignore it. After 3-4 "bounces" off the lane markers, the DIM will display a message "steering input needed immediately".
