So why doesn't volvo promote pilot assist more ?

Cant think of other cars with this feature right now. What package do you need for pilot assist ?

Pilot Assist steers the vehicle actively while controlling the throttle and brakes to maintain the set distance/time to the vehicle ahead - semi-autonomous driving. Pilot Assist is active only up to 31 mph and hands must be on the steering wheel else the system will disengage.

The woman is actually using ACC and Lane keeping Assist (LKA) at 60 mph. ACC maintains the set speed and time interval to the vehicle ahead, but LKA doesn't steer the vehicle the same way Pilot Assist does. It only nudges the vehicle back into the lane and issues a warning if it assesses that the driver is about to leave the lane unintentionally. It doesn't require hands on the wheel, but steering is the responsibility of the driver.

Key distinction:
Pilot Assist - Vehicle steers, driver must be ready to intervene if necessary
LKA - Driver steers, system will only intervene if necessary
