Hello!

it appears this is probably the best forum on the internet for volvos so please help me with my novice questions...

I currently own a 2005 volvo S40 T5. The tires are wearing unevenly ONLY IN THE FRONT. I am going to buy a camber kit to fix this problem.

Would i need a camber kit for the front and back?

ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD PLACE IN COSTA MESA,CA to get this done?

Please help!!!!!!!

Odds are if you are having terrible uneven tire wear in the front its due to toe not camber, even with a lowered S40 i havent seen camber out of spec on our hunter rack. I would recommend having your alignment checked first. The rear camber kits dont hurt especially for long distance drivers. Negative camber shifts the contact patch of the tire to the inside which causes the inner half of the tire to wear faster than the outter.

How are the tires wearing ?

The inside, outside or whole tire ?

it was definitely an alignment issue. no camber kit is necessary.

after some discussion i realized that volvos do not require camber kits unless you have dropped the car past the 2-2.5 inch mark.

btw the tires were wearing out on the inside.
