Is there a front/rear camber kit available for the S40? If so, who makes it?
Is front/rear camber adjustable on the S40 without the use of a camber kit? There's conflicting statements on this board

Originally the camber kit from iPD was said to work for our car, and after lowering my car it was going to be installed on my car only to figure out they posted the wrong years of compatability on their site. I started a thread on it when I found the problem, so you can try searching posts started by me, or search camber kit or iPD if you want to look through it. Thread started last Oct. i believe.

But these two people claim to have a camber kit of some sort installed on their car. I've attempted to contact them, but so far no response.
punkkid
Marcelo Pita

Re: (MarvynDT)

after reading his post, Punkkid might have a custom kit put in, since he mentions that his car ws used for R&D, sure would be nice to see something come of the R&D though

Re: (Wojo)

Todd H. informed me that Heico has not moved forward with the camber kit due to reasons he had stated before (ie USA is the only market looking for the kit). This issue is what's holding me back from purchasing coilovers. I'd rather not eat thru tires every 6 months.
I'm wondering what's involved with developing a one-off camber kit for the car.

Wrong car. The "S40 V40" gives it away.
Tom.

Re: (tmtalpey)

SPC lists compatibility with 00-06 S40 and "V40" models. I'm going to contact them to see where the mistake lies.

Trust me, if it fits the earlier S40 and the other models they list, it's not going to fit ours. Theirs is a very common error and anyone whose products you want, would have corrected it.
Tom.

Re: (tmtalpey)

Here is the camber kit for the Mazda 3. Based on rumors that the cars share suspension similarities, its another possibility. I'll have to take a closer look at the S40 suspension tomorrow and see if this route is possible.
SPC rear camber kit for Mazda 3

Re: (MarvynDT)

I found a camber kit SPC offered for the focus, so i just bought it, hoping it would look like ours, and it seemed to be the exact same, they just don't offer it as a volvo application. very easy install and adjust.

Re: (quick)

Can't say much about that. I posted that Ebay link as a possibility that it may or may not work. If the same part is used on the 00-04 S40 MY, then it will not work on the 05+ MY.
BTW, the rear part that punkkid is using appears to look the same as the Mazda3 rear camber kit.

Re: (MarvynDT)

I believe your correct. I inspected the rear suspension of a Mazda 3 at the L.A. Auto Show where they had it on a overhead rack. The suspension appeared to be identical to the S40. I have heard the Focus and Mazda share the same suspension. I have not heard of a camber kit for the front.
The rear kit is a 20 minute per side install. Adjustment takes about 3 minutes a side if you want to try different settings( after you have the tire off). During install on AWD, support the brake assembly while removing the upper arm, do not let the half shafts come more than a half inch out of the rear diff, I learned the hard way, damageing a half shaft seal.
The range of adjustment is great. With lowering spring you can dial in what ever camber you need. I run -1/2 degree when I run 235-8.5x18's on all corners, for events I run 265-9.5x18's on the rear with -3 degrees.
