Cam position sensors fail?

I have a 2005 volvo s60 T5 (118K/73miles) and i was sitting in traffic yesterday and the check eng light came on...so i stoped at my friends garage to get the codes read and this is what i got? The car runs fine and isn't in limp mode?
Intake cam sensor not reading
Exhaust cam sensor not reading
Ecu connection failure
Today i unplugged the cam sensors and the car runs like it always does and i get different codes intake/exhaust sensors voltage low... I can't really take the car to the Volvo dealer by my house since 1 there not helpfully and 2 i don't have a first born to pay with...the next closes Volvo dealer is 400km away. Anyhelp would be great...or if anyone has had this problem
