Has anyone else seen this site?
http://www.obukhoff.com/
These crazy Russians actually built an AWD C70R from the looks of it. I don't know if I agree with the cosmetics, but heck?

Honestly, I think that thing looks terrible! Although, I have heard that Volvo is going to go out with a bang for the Volvo C70 and actually produce a C70R for its last year of production. I think that it would be pretty cool if they did that!
-Drew

Yes, I agree. It's not exactly what I'd do if I built one. Actually, if I built one, I don't think it would have much more than an R emblem on the back.
I believe they did build an awd R sedan in Europe. I've seen pictures somewhere.

I have a brochure of the Volvo S70R/V70R. Volvo sold them almost everywhere except the United States. There were only four colors that you could get: Saffron, Black, Silver, and Blue Metallic. They had an option of either getting AWD or FWD for both the S70R and V70R. The funny thing is that the FWD manual was 0.6 seconds faster than the AWD manual from 0-60mph. The FWD manual did 0-60mph in about 6.2 seconds.

-Drew

The V70 R AWD was sold in the states in '00. My dealer has a leftover on their lot. $42k sticker.
I also recall the "R" sedan was available in the mid 90s, yellow was a color.
Chris
'00 S4
'99 GLT
