Since many members (e.g. pj's850) are interested in the origin of the Dynaudio drivers in the C70 I thought I should give a short lecture on the subject.<P>Dynaudio and Volvo has been cooperating since the early nineties in different advanced engineering projects that eventually ended up in the C70 system. Dynaudio is a relatively small speaker manufacturer in the same way as Volvo is a relatively small car manufacturer, remember that all this took place before Ford moved in and purchased Volvo. Denmark and Sweden are neighbours and share a lot of culture. These two facts have made way for a very good cooperation climate between Volvo and Dynaudio engineers. Dynaudios product development manager Mark Thorup (also responsible for such speakers as the Evidence) was very deeply involved in the development work of the C70 drivers.<P>Each speaker part that is used in the C70 comes from Dynaudios ordinary assortment, the way they are chosen and tuned to make up a complete driver is adapted to the unique application, this is Dynaudios standard mode of operation. So the baskets, voice coils, magnets etc used in the C70 can be also found in other Dynaudio products for home and professional use.<P>A breakdown of each speaker will follow:<P>Tweeter<BR>

+1, I also would see this data. Since Dynaudio speakers in my C70 are burned, I am looking for replacement, but I have to know original specs before making any decision .

Same here, what happen that it ends right when it says Tweeter! Does anyone still have a copy of the original full post, was really looking forward to reading this. Am retro fitting my '97 855R with the setup out of a C70 and would hugely appreciate getting an inside scoop on the original Dynaudio Speaker Spec. Thanks Hiller.
