For anyone C70 owners or to be owners, which other cabriolets did/have you considered. Reason I ask is because in Canada some here cross shop the new VW EOS with the C70, and I find this unusal in the sense of the price point of these 2 vehicles.
FYI, the C70 in Canada starts at $55,000CAD, and the EOS at $36,000CAD
Anyone here cross shop these 2, IMO different segment vehicles.

Re: C70 Competitors (w1ntson)

Yes, some people cross shop these two cars. There are some discussions over VW forums, too. However, I don't think those people cross shop the base models. Instead, they are comparing top models. A fully loaded 3.2 EOS will only be a little bit cheaper than a fully loaded C70.

It sits somewhere between the new MKV Golf the the B6 Passat.
I saw one at a VW GTG in NH two weekends ago, went there with a friend and there was plenty space in the back seat after getting comfortable in the front seat.

Don't know the exact dimensions, but it was comparable.

It is nice to have a car that is seriously spacious from inside, BUT I still maintain that exterior dimenssions are important for the car's presence on the road.

Re: C70 Competitors (VolvoMax)

Mercedes cars are nice, but I just read an article about a lemon law lawyer and half of his cases are Mercedes - quality has gone way downhill there, to the point where it is worse than VW.
