Hi

I bought the car over a month ago and now when the cold degrees came i noticed a problem. I go out in the morning and start the car, starts to scratch the ice from the windows and i hear the fuel heater starting. Today it was around -5, the heater smokes alot when cold, i get smoke coming up from the hood and i get it in the cabin if the fan is on. As soon as i start driving i don't get any smoke in the cabin. Did not notice this problem 2 weeks ago before the weather temp dropped.

Suggestions?

I ran the heater for 60 minutes yesterday and this morning when i started the car in -10 it hardly was any smoke and nothing came into the cabin. So it seems the heater needs to clean itself with a longer burning once in a while.
