After I shut the car off, there is a buzzing noise coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Lasts for a few minutes. Sounds like an electric pump. The only thing I could think of is the fuel pump.

Any ideas? This is a 2007 V70R.

Isnt the fuel cap back there? if so, it could be the lock actuator on it. Have seen other euro cars do this for a bit after shutoff.

It's not that. Gas cap locker sounds like a heavy servo. This is a humming

I just got home from wasting fuel before it gets stored, I heard it going off again. I'm pretty sure now it is the Haldex pump. I stuck my head as far in as possible (not that one) to hear what is up and it sounded more center. I know fuel pump sounds different but this sounds like it is coming straight above the exhaust. This interests me because I have a "yellow light" stored code for the DEM pump

There's a evap pump back there for the fuel tank. It turns on at startup and shutdown if I recall correctly.
