Burning out the clutch - what does it take?

Out of curiosity, what does it take to burn out one of the clutch discs on the Rs or what are the signs? Do the Rs exhibit the typical revs going up and movement slows or are their other signs unique to the R?
4k rpm drops at the dragstrip one weekend?
Weekend at Watkins Glen or other track weekend?
Would severe "riding/slipping" to get onto a set of dyno rollers?
Stop & go traffic?
If you are smelling it after one of the above events, how bad is it and is there any way to assess the impact on longevity?
What are the typical and atypical methods that lead to clutch replacement?

Once at 6,ooo miles when transitioning on a step hill and at the Austin GTG when I was giving rides out. I'm expecting the hit around 60,000 with my aggressiveness, but anything helps.
Thanks
