This morning i noticed a nail in my tire, when i took it into the shop to get it plugged the mechanic pointed out a bubble in my sidewall with some slight rim rash to go with it. Immediately remembered the HUGE pot hole i hit a few days ago...SOB!
A) Should i be worried about any suspension components being damaged? Any easy way to check? Just worried that if this happened to the rim/tire it may have caused more problems.
B) I was planning on getting four new tires when these wore out but this came unexpectedly. Can i replace just the one tire with a different brand? or will that cause problems? I found a 235/40R18 Dunlop SP Sport 01 for $80 on craigslist today and wanted to go grab it after work. I am currently running the stock pirelli Pzero's. Will having the 1 off tire cause any problems?

Re: Bubble in my tire sidewall (crazy32184)

A. If your goes in a straight line, leave it be. See Answer B.
B. If the tread wear is close......you'll be OKAY. Get 4 new ones soon, and grab an alignement.

You should always replace tires in pairs...
