Well, I am now officially responsible for a new Volvo XC70 T6.
Details: 2009 XC70 T6 AWD, Oyster Grey Metallic, Off-black leather, Modern wood trim, 17" wheels, Premium, Climate, Convenience, Technology, BLIS, PCC, Integrated Booster Seats, Nav*, Parking Assist Camera, Mudflaps, Ticket Clip
*The nav installed in this car is not the nav which normally comes with the XC70. The dealer had the Garmin GVN-53 installed at the port; apparently this system is Volvo-certified. It's a much better system than the OEM nav (SD card based, not DVD, more modern nav system), but isn't integrated as fully--no link to stereo system, no steering wheel controls (just remote), etc.. I don't ever use the voice signals when I rent cars in Europe with nav (I hate the way it cuts into music), so the lack of integration into the sound system is totally irrelevant to me. The remote--I like it. I don't usually enter anything while driving, but this system doesn't lock out control (it can and does by default, but you can override that safety feature), so a passenger can use it without issue. So far I like it a lot, but it'll take some exploring.
Everything has gone smoothly so far.
One question--the backup camera--product shots have "curved" lines showing the trajectory for parking. Can't seem to get mine to do that and there's absolutely no documentation on this unit. Anyone know how this thing works?
And some pics (Volvo's pics are obviously better). I think you can click on the pics and get larger versions on Flickr.
