Does anyone have any experience with Bridgestone tires?
Currently, I have Michelin PS A/S on my R, and they are wearing quickly. I am thinking of preserving them for the winter and getting a set of Bridgestones for the rest of the warmer months. The reason I am going with Bridgestone is due to a friend who has them available at a discount.
I was hoping to find any information/ experiences that anyone has had with either the Potenza RE050A Pole Positions or the Potenza S-03 Pole Positions. I have not heard a lot of things about the bridgestones (good or bad) but was wondering if they at all compare to michelin's/goodyears.
Thanks in advance for any info anyone has.

Re: Bridgestone's on an R? (Vipergtsz3)

I have found Bridgestone in general to be superior to Goodyear, with which I have had multiple bad experiences.
I have Bridgestones on my wife's car and used them on my previous 764t4. I would use them currently if I wasn't running the same Mich Pilot A/S that you have.

Had S-03s on my (previous) V70 T5. Goodyears on my current V70R are much better overall, including wet traction.
Re: Bridgestone's on an R? (Vipergtsz3)

I am using the S-03s, and am on my third set--using the 205/55/15 on 7" wheels. I diligently rotate when I measure a difference of 1/32 front to rear. Doing this procedure, I am experiencing 20,000 to 22,000 miles on a set with a final thread depth of 3/32".
The tire will get noisey after 5/32 which one will experience from their use when new. I have read where the S03 will be replaced by the 050A, but have also read reports of BMW owners using the 050A under track day runs, and being quite satisfied, especially when the runs were done on the MId Ohio track in Lexinton, OH, which is a very demanding track for good adhesion.
I have used these tires also for track days at the Road Atlanta track, and they held like glue without any noise at any time, giving me all the confidence that I wanted and needed to negotiate the track under dry and wet conditions during the two day runs. I used an additional eight pounds of air pressure for these runs, over the OE pressure.

Goodyears are the best of the three (in my experience - reviews on Tire Rack seem to agree) and are quite a bit less expensive than the S-03.
