They are in production right now (due June 15th 2002).The kit includes 13.1" cross drilled, ventilated rotors, the F40 4 piston calipers (availible in three colors) all mounting hardware and steel braided brake lines. The cost will be $2999.00 retail. The only wheels that will fit the F40 calipers are OZ Superleggara 35m.
I will have pictures to post in the next week or two. I can't wait! Yee haa!

Where did you get that?

Stillen was offering the same kit for $2100 when I bought mine. Exact same setup...or at least almost the same.

Ever consider getting the AP kit instead since you are spending more than $2500...?

I'm not sure if Superleggara is the ONLY wheel that will fit, but I know Volans couldn't clear the calipers...and my Volk III had no problem at all.

Should seriously consider the AP kit b/c even the same kit from Mov'it is around $2699.

I got it from Brembo North America, where my S60 "IS" the prototype... There aren't any of these kits described, yet made (they are however in production now). And certainly not sold by Stillen... The AP kit is also not much of a comparisson, price or otherwise..Stillen may sell a kit, But I guarantee you it isn't this one!

Very interesting. Do you think you can give us more info about it when you have it installed? I'm sure there are a lot of S60 owners have been looking for the big brake upgrade here.

So, how did you find them to do a custom job like this in the first place.

BTW, you mentioned that AP kit is no comparison, would you please tell us more about it. I'd also like to find out if you would ever be able to have these Brembo guys to make a rear brake upgrade as well.

TIA~!

I am in with Brembo thru motorcycle racing. I asked the guy while at the track if Brembo made a kit. He said not yet...So many phone calls later they asked me if I'd be interested in using my car as a prototye and test bed. To which I said "hell yes"! The hold up has been the offset of the wheels. Now found.
I say the AP kit is no comparison because it is a generic caliper, and only a drilled replacement rotor. The Brembo kit uses a 323mm x 32mm vented and crossdrilled rotor, and uses the Ferrari F40 caliper(which is a radial mount and thus the massive offset).

Part 2
As for the rear kit, it gets ugly. Basically Brembo does not offer a caliper with that little amount of force to accomodate the S60 master pressure. This creates a huge problem with the ABS. I am told they could make a "dummy caliper" with a small diameter fluid channel but would only serve looks and not fuction. One of their employees has them
on his BMW M3. It looks unreal. And technically, it is...
Not a Brembo trademark.

Nicee.....I gotta see the pictures of that. When I bought mine, they told me it was also the "F40" kit, but I think what they meant to tell me is that it's the same brake pads that F40 uses? Not too sure...

So they wouldn't suggest doing the rear brake system then?

Are they going to be reselling this kit to the public directly later on?

Do you have have a picture of your system? The guys at brembo are very interested in what you are using, and who made it. As far as the rear kit goes.. They aren't that interested in looks, mostly function. And as I said, too much rear brake force will cause the ABS to be on most every time you step on the brakes. A brake Bias switch might be possible, however not recommended for the average everyday driver. I am for both, so I'll keep pushing. I mostly want to be the first one into the corner! Since she's a little bit slowish, great handling and brakes(not to mention awesome looking) should mke up for it.

I recommend trying to place your order soon! I am unsure of how to post pictures on this site. So when its done I'll put them on my personal web page and post.

I received a call from Brembo today. I am told the parts that are being machined could be finished by this Wednesday. (day after tomorrow) Keep your fingers crossed!
I would love to have them done by the weekend.

P.S. This would make the kit availible to all, by early July. (You could call Brembo and pre-order yours now)! 714-641-0104
I will take lots of photo's of the install and get them to Indy and George same day...
