Hi everyone,
Ok, after reading arhives I decided to use OEM pads and now have to pick two sets of rotors. I'm thinking between basic Zimmermans and PowerSlots (or even PowerSlots Cryo )
On one hand if money were no object I would go for PS Cryo as they suppose to be better all around... But since there are to many diff.project...Are they really soo good that worth the double price vs. Zimmermans?
Thanks again
Kirill
Sorry, can't answer your question Kirill. I've been using X-drilled Zimm's as per my sig, so far they've been good to me, no complains

I agree with d-man. I installed Zimmerman drilled rotors and Mintex red box pads on my blue S70 and I'm very pleased with their performance (particularly in comparison to stock rotors).

By the way, FCP Groton sells a brake upgrade kit on their EBay store (foreigncarpartsonline.com) that includes Zimmerman cross-drilled rotors, Mintex red box pads, and stainless steel brakelines for about $360.
Well, thanks guys but I'll probably not going for drilled rotors. If Zimmerman would produce slotted
I know Zimmermans are OK, as I have them on fronts. I know PowerSlots have lot of positive reviews on TireRack, but the question is if all these features (like slots and coating..) worth the double price of Zimermans ...

I would ask myself if I have ever had a problem with brake fade using stock rotors. Usually you only need to go to holes and slots if you are racing or towing. That's the only time you would really build up enough heat to cause the off gassing that causes the fade. If you just like the look, then go for it.

Yeah, you are right I - don't racing or towing... But I like the look. I'll go for Zimmermans and put the saved money toward the sway bars.
Thanks everyone!
I agree, but if you have to replace the rotors anyway then it makes sense to upgrade for better pad cooling under stop and go driving conditions. Also, the Zimmerman drilled rotors are close to the same price as Volvo stock rotors.
